A smarter tool for retail crews

Digitizing pallet receiving—reducing shrink, strengthening compliance, and building trust across 2,800 stores

The Job to Be Done
by retail store night crews

Unloading pallets from trucks reliably.

Ensuring food safety compliance.

Re-stocking shelves efficiently so customers can find what they need.

But when we started, things looked different.

Paper-based manual processes led to frequent errors, cold chain violations, and unhappy customers.

The most critical issues we found?

Pallets were often unloaded by the wrong store—due to inconsistent verification processes.

Once that happens, they’re nearly impossible to retrieve, and stores are forced to own and sell the inventory.

We also found that cold pallets were frequently left sitting in the backroom for extended periods.

Posing serious risks to food safety and compliance.

So we built a better way:

Scan a pallet—get real-time validation.

Today, the Night Crew app provides a single view of pallet receiving activity—validation, logging issues, and real-time alerts help teams stay in control.
